It's been confirmed that Disney are prepping a live-action film of their 90s classic 'Beauty and the Beast'. Bill Condon, director of 'Dreamgirls' and 'Twilight' two-parter 'Breaking Dawn', has been assigned to helm the live-action version of the beloved movie, as the news was received with mixed opinion. While the prospect of a 'real-life' Belle and Beast are intriguing, some are angered by Disney for continually milking their films that have become golden classics and don't wish to see them sullied. In addition to Condon, Evan Spiliotopoulos is on board to write the script, while Mandeville Films will produce the feature.
