IFC books U.S. rights on Michael Winterbottom's 'The Trip to Italy'

British director Winterbottom arrives for the premiere of his movie "The Look of Love" at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City By Brent Lang LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - IFC Films has acquired U.S. rights to "The Trip to Italy." The film is Michael Winterbottom's follow-up to his 2010 road-trip comedy "The Trip," which IFC also released. The sequel finds Brydon commissioned by a newspaper to go on a driving tour of Italy to follow in the footsteps of seminal Romantic poets. Coogan becomes his wing-man for the journey. Hopefully they will rekindle their battling Michael Caine impressions - a highlight of the first film. ...
