I doubt it's news to anyone by now that Ben Affleck has been cast as Batman, ending weeks of speculation as to who would appear alongside Henry Cavill in Zack Snyder's 'Man of Steel' follow-up 'Batman vs. Superman' for Warners/DC. I also doubt anyone has failed to notice the widespread negative reactions this has inspired. Of course, as I'll be neither the first nor last to remark, reactions were no different when Michael Keaton was cast in 'Batman,' or when Heath Ledger was cast as The Joker in 'The Dark Knight,' and we all know how they turned out. ...
