Making a TV show set in the same universe in which Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America and Thor run about was always going to be difficult when none of those icons were ever likely to take part. What Marvel spin-off 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D' does have however, is Agent Coulson, Joss Whedon and a sense of fun absent from the biggest American TV series.
