Al Pacino was considered for Interview with the Vampire

Al Pacino was considered for Interview with the Vampire Concept art has come to light revealing that Al Pacino was considered for Lestat, the vampire ultimately portrayed by Tom Cruise, in 1994's 'Interview With The Vampire.' Artist Miles Teves has released via his website conceptual illustrations he was commissioned to produce whilst the horror blockbuster from director Neil Jordan was in pre-production, revealing a rather different potential incarnation of Rice's undead anti-hero. Of the illustration, Teves says "For a short time, at the beginning of the production, Al Pacino was rumored to have wanted the role of LeStat. Being a far more seasoned and versatile actor, as well as more than two decades older than Cruise (though, at 5ft 7, just as short), the legendary Pacino would have made for a very different Lestat indeed.
