Avatar: Michelle Rodriguez yet to secure role in 'Avatar 2'

Avatar: Michelle Rodriguez yet to secure role in 'Avatar 2' Although IMDB currently lists only Stephen Lang as being definitively part of the 'Avatar 2' - which was confirmed explicitly by James Cameron recently - Sigourney Weaver has long since been rumoured to be a part of the second movie, and comments from Cameron have already indicated that Sam Worthington will be a fundamental part of the remainder of the quadrilogy. Of course, it is rather difficult to see the second film omitting the Jake Sulley character who was fundamental to the first movie, and it seems inevitable that with Worthington's participation confirmed that Zoe Saldana, his love interest from the first movie, will be along for the full four movie 'Avatar' ride as well. Michelle Rodriguez was already a pretty big star before she took the part of a helicopter pilot in the first movie, yet her participation in any of the three mooted sequels still hasn't been confirmed by anyone involved in the production. In fact, Rodriguez has been explicitly omitted from discussion on the resurrection of characters thus far, and her appearance in the second 'Avatar' movie still looks to be far from certain, despite her having expressed her desire to reprise her role.
