The team behind next summer's US-based reboot of 'Godzilla' have spoken at length about what drew them to revisit the legendary giant monster. Not only will 2014 mark the 60th anniversary of the Japanese giant monster horror classic 'Gojira' - it will also be the first Hollywood take on the King of the Monsters since the regrettable 1998 movie from Roland Emmerich, and the first Godzilla film of any kind since the 2004 Toho swansong 'Godzilla: Final Wars.' All signs thus far - not least the teaser trailer briefly leaked online last month - have suggested that director Gareth Edwards ('Monsters') is set on recapturing the dark, realistic tone of the 1954 original, as opposed to the campier content of the bulk of the sequels. Edwards has discussed this at Moviepilot, along with actors Bryan Cranston, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen.
