Today saw Disney unveil the first trailer for the upcoming 'Maleficent', which is set for a May 2014 release. Starring Angelina Jolie, Juno Temple and Elle Fanning, the tale focuses on a (re)telling of the classic story of 'Sleeping Beauty', but from the perspective of the evil witch that curses Princess Aurora and will focus on what fueled Maleficent's hatred in the first place 2013 has already seen a prequel to 'The Wizard of Oz' in the shape of James Franco adventure 'Oz: The Great and Powerful'. In previous years there have been reimaginings of other Disney stories including 'Mirror Mirror' and 'Snow White and the Huntsman', but this time, as they did with the 'Oz' prequel, Disney have affiliated themselves, foreshadoweding a sizeable hit come early next summer.
