The 'will they, won't they' scenario regarding the potential 'Evil Dead' sequels has now officially passed the point of absurdity as Bruce Campbell has suddenly denied the reports that 'Army of Darkness 2' is being developed. Word of a sequel to the the 1992 horror comedy hit has been widely circulated since September, first with the 'Evil Dead' remake director Fede Alvarez claiming that Raimi was at work on the film (a claim he has reiterated more than once), then Campbell himself seeming to confirm this. Now, in what seems like an astonishing about-face, Campbell tells Erin Darling the reports are "all internet BS." These random comments slip out of either my mouth or Sam Raimi's mouth - next thing you know, we're making a sequel... unless it's announced from Renaissance Pictures [Raimi 's production company], it's not real.
