Hunger Games: Francis Lawrence gives Catching Fire info in interview With the release of the second movie in the 'Hunger Games' series, 'Hunger Games: Catching Fire' just weeks away, director Francis Lawrence has been giving some insight into his mentality and approach to filming the second book in the 'Hunger Games' trilogy. Lawerence gave some indication of his attitude to 'Hunger Games: Catching Fire' when he spoke to the media recently, in the midst of a busy schedule which includes promoting the second movie and working on the third movie in the 'Hunger Games' series, 'Mockingjay: Part I', which is already in production. Lawrence stated that his focus with the second movie of the 'Hunger Games' series was to really bring the themes of the book to the big screen, although he also expressed his regret that some of the scenes from the book that he would have really liked to film didn't make the final cut. Condensing a script which reached 143 pages into a 2 hour, 15 minutes movie was a huge challenge for the production, and Lawrence stated that one of his hardest tasks was deciding which scenesshe would cut out of the final 'Hunger Games: Catching Fire' movie.
