Thousands of people lined the streets of San Francisco in support of leukaemia survivor Miles Scott as he fulfilled his dream of becoming Batman for the day. Five-year-old Miles thought all he was getting was a costume, but the Make-A-Wish Foundation had a lot more in store for the boy who would become "Batkid". It began with San Francisco Police Chief Greg Suhr calling for Batkid's aid before the pint-sized hero rescued a woman tied to cable car tracks along a major city street. Batkid was joined by an adult Batman impersonator to stop a robbery in the city's financial district, resulting in the mock-arrest of "The Riddler".
