Thor: The Dark World's credits scenes explained

Of those secrets I want to explain the two credits scenes, because one of them - the first - must have been mighty confusing for those lucky souls who don't have a deep knowledge of Marvel comics. He's The Collector, played by Benecio Del Toro, and shockingly enough he's an obsessive collector of things both mundane and all-powerful. Lady Sif (Jaimie Alexander) and Volstagg (Ray Stevenson) come to him with the Aether, the powerful weapon discovered in 'Thor 2' and wielded by the film's villain Malekith.
