An American primary school banned its pupils from dressing up as their favourite superheroes for Halloween, to stop the outfits from scaring younger children. Reddit users were apoplectic when Nundercover uploaded this letter to his account, under the title, "What the hell has Halloween become for kids these days?" The elementary school warned parents about the dangers of their children impersonating Batman, Superman, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch or The Thing from 'The Fantastic Four', or Supergirl, and they also extended the ban to Power Rangers and Ninja Turtles for good measure too. The unnamed school's "guidelines on appropriate Halloween costumes" have apparently been developed over several years, and were probably passed down from headmaster to headmaster.
