Frozen soundtrack spends seventh week at chart summit

Frozen soundtrack spends seventh week at chart summit The film may have just surpassed 'Toy Story 3's' takings to affirm itself as the biggest-grossing animated film of all-time, but it seems fans have really taken to the movie's soundtrack, too. Considering the soundtrack has been out for over four months, first available back on 26 November 2013, it's unusual for an album to remain so consistently popular, especially for so long. Still, for a movie soundtrack to still be doing this well for so long is a commendable achievement for Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Robert Lopez and Christophe Beck -- the talents responsible for writing tunes like 'Do You Want to Build a Snowman?' and the Oscar-winning 'Let It Go, as well as the beautiful score. In total, the soundtrack for 'Frozen' has now sold 1.6 million copies. No doubt boosted by its collection of awards, including a few Oscars, Idina Menzel's 'Let It Go' also reached the top 10 in the singles chart.
