Is Russell Howard’s Wonderbox tour a wonder, or is he better off on the tellybox?

Russell Howard knows how to make an entrance. As 4,500 people sat patiently waiting for him to arrive on The Brighton Centre's stage last night his silhouette suddenly appeared behind a white backdrop jumping around enthusiastically - although apparently even this part of his 'Wonderbox' stand-up tour hasn't been without hecklers. It's the issue that faces many comedians when they become popular on the television - people want to make them crumble on stage, and Howard would be excused for being a bit rusty, 'Wonderbox' is his first live tour in three years. There weren't too many hecklers to worry about at The Brighton Centre, mainly just female students shouting that they loved him, and the most awkward shout-out only came when Howard was asking audience members to do walrus impressions, with one person continually trying to get the limelight by making their own noises without being asked.
