Linkin Park to return for Transformers: Age Of Extinction

Linkin Park to return for Transformers: Age Of Extinction In news that will probably disgust as many 'Transformers' fans as it pleases, Linkin Park's lead singer, Chester Bennington, has revealed that plans are already in motion for them to record a song for 'Age Of Extinction,' the fourth instalment to the franchise. During a discussion with Nikki Sixx, the Motely Crue songwriter, on his radio show the Sixx Sense, Bennington admitted, "We've been very fortunate; In the past, Bennington and his fellow Linkin Parkers have recorded a song for 2007's 'Transformers,' 2009's 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,' and 2011's 'Transformers: Dark Of The Moon.' These tracks were 'What I've Done,' 'New Divide' and 'Iridescent,' respectively. 'Transformers' fans had previously assumed that, as the franchise was trying to move beyond its previous trifecta of films, Michael Bay and those in charge of the sort-of reboot wouldn't invite Linkin Park to record a song for 'Age Of Extinction', which will be led by Mark Wahlberg instead of Shia LaBeouf.
