It may not be out until next year, but footage from Pixar's in-progress title 'Inside Out' has been shown at this week's CinemaCon to a rapturous reception. Taking place inside the head of a young girl, the story gives her various emotions -- Joy (Amy Poehler), Anger (Lewis Black), Fear (Bill Hader), Disgust (Mindy Kalling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith) -- a voice and personality of their own, which forms the backbone of the film's narrative. This therefore suggests there will be an 'exterior' story -- what's happening to the girl in her actual, physical life -- mixed with the parallel thread of how her inner emotions deal with things. It sounds like Pixar's most ambitious project to date, even more so than 'WALL-E' or the first 'Toy Story' concept-wise, which is a particularly exciting notion considering the overkill of sequels that have both been released and announced recently.
