After voicing Darth Maul in the acclaimed animated series The Clone Wars, Sam Witwer admits that he almost auditioned for 'Star Wars VII'. That's right folks - fan favourite Sam Witwer (otherwise known as Darth Maul from 'The Clone Wars') was about to audition for a part in the upcoming 'Star Wars' sequel. In an interview with Schmoes Know, the 'Clone Wars' actor admitted that he did consider auditioning for an unspecified role in 'Star Wars VII'… but it seems it just wasn't meant to be. Of course, fans of 'The Clone Wars' will recognise him as the voice of the ever-menacing Sith assassin, Darth Maul.
