The Hunger Games: Catching Fire takes over London’s Marylebone Station

Welcome, welcome... to Effie land! Last Sunday (16th March) Hunger Games fans congregated at Marylebone Station in London to celebrate the home cinema release of 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' - by dressing up in the elaborate attire of the Capitol. Of course, the reality of that meant that the station was overrun by many, many Effie Trinket impersonators, the character most known for her bizarre and outlandish style choices. Played by Elizabeth Banks in the films, Effie Trinket wears some incredible outfits, complete with colourful wigs, shoes which are works of art - but clearly insanely difficult to walk in - and outfits that have included the addition of butterflies, frills and so much more. The buzz surrounding the next film release in the franchise, 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1', started early too, with one lucky winner receiving a pair of tickets to the film's premiere later this year.
