As well as confirming that Disney are churning out the best animated movies of the modern era, 'Frozen' also showed that the studio have moved beyond the archaic reputation that they've been criticised for possessing in the past. 'Frozen's' writer, Jennifer Lee, not only became the first female director to ever helm a Disney animated film, something that she accomplished alongside her co-director Chris Buck, but she is the also the first female director to ever have a movie that made more than $1billion at the box office.
