Ahead of Disney's release of 'Maleficent' on 30 May, a featurette video has been released online where the film's cast and writer have shared their thoughts and approach to exploring the already familiar characters but from a different perspective. "We all know the story of 'Sleeping Beauty', so we know Maleficent and we know what happened at that christening, but we've never known what happened before," expresses Angelina Jolie, who plays the lead role of the evil Maleficent. "It's the classic story of 'Sleeping Beauty' plus so much more," says Elle Fanning, the young star who assumes the role of inquisitive Princess Aurora. The 'Super 8' actress is more than familiar with the 1959 Disney classic, and shares that, as a child, she was never afraid of the evil villain.
