'The Dark Knight Rises' actor Tom Hardy has been asked to name his favourite Batman actor - and, perhaps unsurprisingly, he named Christian Bale. Hardy starred as deadly supervillian Bane alongside Bale in his third and final outing as DC's Caped Crusader for director Christopher Nolan in 2012. "I've already worked with Batman... Christian was my Batman, I'm very loyal." There might be a temptation there to spin this innocent remark as some sort of slur on incoming Bat-actor Ben Affleck, but that would be quite the misrepresentation given Hardy doesn't comment on Affleck at all.
