'Ain't Them Bodies Saints' director David Lowery is reportedly set to helm the remake of Disney's 'Pete's Dragon', according to The Wrap. The reimagining of the 1977 live-action mixed with animation movie was in fact co-written by Lowery and Toby Halbrooks, who made some wholesale changes to the film. The original Disney flick starred the late Mickey Rooney, Shelley Winters and Sean Marshall. Having worked as an editor on bizarre, indie sci-fier 'Upstream Colour', a Disney film is certainly a change of scenery for him.
