Frozen Temp Staff Aren't Entitled To Bonuses

Frozen Temp Staff Aren't Entitled To Bonuses Steve Hulett, a business rep over at IATSE Local 839, revealed that the extra staff who were taken on to work on the Oscar-winning movie weren't included in Disney's bonus pay out that awarded all members of staff a lump sum after the global hit. It does seem a tad unfair that the ones who actually made the film aren't rewarded, whereas regular staff that didn't have anything to do with it and simply work for Disney can reap the monetary incentive. An animator at Disney revealed that the bonus was 10 weeks worth of pay and brings into question the treatment and conditions animation artists are seeking to put right. He was told by Disney that the "studio policy is people working in the division, whether they worked on the picture or not, get bonuses." Which is a fair comment, as the issue at hand isn't a legal one, but, to me, is a case of simply rewarding those who contributed to making 'Frozen' a success.
