David S. Goyer is in many ways of architect of Warner Bros' DC Universe of films. He worked with Christopher Nolan on the 'Dark Knight' trilogy, which acted as a precursor to the new films - starting with 'Man of Steel'. In a screenwriting lecture organised by BAFTA, Goyer explains his pride for both 'Batman Begins' and 'Man of Steel' as well as how the latter came about and it's most controversial scene in which Henry Cavill's Superman kills General Zod. The scene proved controversial because Superman has never been a character that kills.
