New Lawsuit Hinders Online Acquisition For Disney

New Lawsuit Hinders Online Acquisition For Disney A lawsuit has been filed in the United States by a disgruntled ex-employee over Disney's acquisition of YouTube network Maker Studios, it has been revealed. Andy Faberlle, a shareholder in Maker Studios, claims that key executives within the company, including current CEO Ynon Kreiz, have "illegally obtained Maker shares and illegally voted those shares in favour of a merger with Disney." The lawsuit is requesting that all votes in favour of a Disney merger be rescinded, meaning the merger would not be able to go ahead. It's a strong claim that comes so soon after former CEO Danny Zappin and three colleagues attempted to block a shareholder vote on the Disney takeover, which raises questions over the compliance of Maker with the Mouse House.
