Scarlett Johansson believes audiences are ready for The Avengers to become darker and more complex characters. Speaking to MovieFone, the actress who returns as Black Widow in 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier', said she thinks its about time the dark pasts of the characters come back to haunt them. "I think all of these characters have dark pasts," she said. These characters' relationships become even muckier.
