Writer/producer Simon Kinberg is the latest member of the 'X-Men' movie team to support the idea of an adult-oriented 'Deadpool' movie. Speaking to Collider about 20th Century Fox's hopes of expanding on the Marvel properties which they own the rights to, Kinberg said the idea of a lower-budget 'Deadpool' movie geared to mature audiences "makes sense to me. "Genuinely it's early phases, early days, but if you're gonna do a 'Deadpool' movie, I think you've gotta do a hard-R, darker movie and he is the perfect character to do it with." While Kinberg may say it's early days, a 'Deadpool' solo movie has been on the cards ever since Ryan Reynolds portrayed a somewhat altered incarnation of the character in 2009's 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' - but one of the many things about that movie which left fans so disappointed.
