Jesse Eisenberg has vowed that he won't be influenced by previous cinematic versions of Lex Luthor when he plays the super-villain in 'Batman vs Superman.' While promoting his new film, 'The Double,' Eisenberg was invariably asked about his role in the upcoming blockbuster behemoth, which will be released in 2016. Eisenberg wasn't ashamed to admit that he isn't intimately aware of the history of the character, before insisting that he won't be influenced by either Gene Hackman or Kevin Spacey's performances as the loathsome entrepreneur in 1978's 'Superman' and 2006's 'Superman Returns' respectively.
