The scene was set to feature the same shadowy figure seen in the first film's credits sequence and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. In it we see the behatted man, who is revealed in the film to be called Gustav Fiers (Michael Massee) in the Oscorp "special projects" area, where he finds the cryogenically frozen head of Norman Osborn (Chric Cooper), who died earlier in the film. Norman Osborne's continued presence in the series makes sense given that Sony were always unlikely to have hired Chris Cooper for a single, five minute scene with on-screen son Harry, played by Dan DeHaan. Either way, it appears Chris Cooper may one day return to the series.
