Frozen Close To Becoming Biggest Film In Japanese History

Frozen Close To Becoming Biggest Film In Japanese History While 'Frozen' may have done the business in the US and UK months ago, it's still riding high in the Japanese box office, as it looks set to make it three-straight months at the top. Currently having reigned in the number one spot for 11 weeks, the Disney animation has made just under 20 billion yen since its release there on 14 March. With a 12th week at the summit likely, the film's success, having made around the $200 million, means it'll challenge for the title of biggest-grossing film ever in Japan. Currently, Studio Ghibli's 'Spirited Away' sits at the top of the pile on $230 million, with 1997's 'Titanic' in second with just over $201 million.
