Marvel TV: Drew Goddard Exits Daredevil

Marvel TV: Drew Goddard Exits Daredevil As if one shock exit wasn't enough for one weekend, Marvel have announced that Drew Goddard will no longer be the showrunner on their upcoming 'Daredevil' TV series. In an official statement at Marvel.com, the studio confirm that writer-director Goddard - who had been set to serve as chief writer and producer on the 13 episode series, as well as directing the first episode - has bailed in order to concentrate on his next feature film, Sony's 'Amazing Spider-Man' spin-off 'The Sinister Six.' However, Goddard remains attached to 'Daredevil' as executive producer, and the first two episodes will be shot from his scripts. Before making his feature directorial debut on horror movie 'The Cabin in the Woods,' Goddard enjoyed an illustrious career as a TV writer, having served on Joss Whedon's 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Angel,' and later JJ Abrams' 'Alias' and 'Lost.'
