Since Ben Affleck was cast as Bruce Wayne in 'Batman vs Superman' various rumours, most of which were tongue-in-cheek, have circulated linking his infamous BFF Matt Damon to a role in DC's burgeoning cinematic universe too. This has included various memes and GIFS depicting the duo as Batman and Robin, but most recently he has been linked to a role as Aquaman in the already announced 'Justice League' film. Damon has now been asked point blank whether he might be about to depict the nautical superhero, and he's insisted that he would play the character to help with the Water.org charity, a cause that is very close to his heart and looks to address the lack of clean water across the globe. A CNBC interviewer [via ComicBook.com] drew parallels between Aquaman and the issue, before she asked if he would star to draw more attention to this grave topic.
