Evan Goldberg and producer James Weaver have spoken about 'Preacher,' the upcoming TV series based on the controversial DC Vertigo comic of the 1990s. Goldberg is writing and producing the show with his regular collaborator Seth Rogen and 'Breaking Bad' writer Sam Catlin for US network AMC, home of another notable TV comic book adaptation 'The Walking Dead.' The series is a hugely exciting prospect for longstanding fans of 'Preacher,' which has been trapped in development hell ever since the comic was still running in the late 1990s. Numerous directors including Sam Mendes were attached to a movie adaptation at different points, and a few years back a TV series almost happened at HBO.
