With 20th Century Fox, Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios all pumping out films from the Marvel Comics family of superheroes, its easy to forget that the rights to a film version of aquatic hero Namor the Sub-Mariner have been gathering dust at Universal Studios. The Hollywood Reporter writer Borys Kit said as much on his Twitter account: "Universal does NOT have the rights to the Sub-Mariner. Marvel has them," he said definitively. That wasn't all however, as IGN writers Eric Goldman and Jim Vejvoda pointed out in replies to Kit that in a recent interview with their website Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige had said that the Namor rights situation was "a little complicated".
