Lily Rabe on ‘no drama’ Hunger Games: Mockingjay exit

Lily Rabe on ‘no drama’ Hunger Games: Mockingjay exit After it was revealed in April that Lily Rabe would be replaced by Gwendoline Christie in 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part Two', the actress has opened up about her reasons for leaving the franchise. When Lionsgate announced that Rabe would be replaced by Christie, they stated that the actress, famous for her roles in 'American Horror Story', was doing so due to a previous commitment to star in 'Much Ado About Nothing' as part of New York City's annual Shakespeare in the Park series. While it's a shame that Rabe won't see the entire series through, it's no surprise that she chose 'Shakespeare in the Park' over the movie as the actress is critically acclaimed on the stage and has form with the productions, having starred in 'The Merchant of Venice' and 'As You Like It'. Speaking about how her heart was set on performing in the play, Rabe explained that her exit from 'The Hunger Games' was completely civil.
