With the success of Disney's 'Maleficent', its screenwriter, Linda Woolverton, has made comparisons between the characters in the 'Sleeping Beauty' prequel and the Studio's prior hit, 'Frozen'. Having made an impressive $170 million in its first weekend, 'Maleficent', starring Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning, has done far better than some analysts predicted. Note: 'Maleficent' plot spoilers to follow. Woolverton, who has previous penned scripts for 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'The Lion King', admits it was a difficult task to transform the iconic villain into a protagonist.
