China's director of extravagant action epics, Zhang Yimou, is to steer the official promotional video in front of Beijing's bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics, and he's hoping to enlist a young Chinese director to help. Well known for "Hero" and "House of Flying Daggers," Zhang has also shown an appreciation for drama with more recent titles "The Love of the Hawthorn Tree" (starring Zhou Dongyu and Shawn Dou), "The Flowers of War" (Christian Bale, Ni Ni), and May 2014 domestic box office smash "Coming Home" (Chen Daoming, Gong Li).
