David Semel hopes to direct episodes of Guillermo del Toro's 'The Strain' for FX

By Tim Molloy NEW YORK (TheWrap.com) - Veteran "House" and "Homeland" director David Semel says he hopes to direct episodes of Guillermo del Toro's much-anticipated FX project, "The Strain." FX hasn't yet picked up the show or even shot a pilot for the series, based on the vampire novels by del Toro and Chuck Hogan. "House of Cards" star Corey Stoll has been cast in the lead. But "The Strain" looks like a likely pickup for FX, and the plan would be for del Toro to shoot the pilot and for Semel to handle some later episodes. ...
