Dick Clark Productions invests in Hollywood film awards

By Lucas Shaw NEW YORK (TheWrap.com) - Dick Clark Productions has invested in the Hollywood Film Awards, signaling a possible TV run for the 17-year-old awards show that last year honored Bradley Cooper, Robert DeNiro and Quentin Tarantino. Carlos De Abreu launched the awards show in 1997 as part of the Hollywood Film Festival, an annual Los Angeles event he co-founded with Janice Pennington. Dick Clark already produces many top awards shows, including the Golden Globe Awards and the American Music Awards. ...
