In a busy period for James Cameron where he is trying to juggle three rather involving balls, and has also been the recipient of some rather difficult news, the 'Avatar' director will doubtless be pleased to get some good news. With Cameron negotiating over the location for the second 'Avatar' movie, putting the final preparations in place with regard to the writing of the 'Avatar' sequels, and having to cope with a raft of court cases, it will be pleasant for the hugely successful filmmaker to have a night off and bask in his achievements. This will be possible for Cameron in February next year, when the vastly experienced director of the 'Avatar' movies will receive a prestigious award at the 61st Golden Reel Festival. "James has always pushed technology forward to new heights to fulfill his creative vision," stated the president of the MPSE, Frank Morrone, when commenting on the award.
