Jennifer Lawrence has suggested a dark path ahead for her character Mystique in next summer's Fox/Marvel epic 'X-Men: Days of Future Past.' The in-demand actress first portrayed the role of the shape-shifting mutant anti-heroine (or, as perhaps more viewers think of her, the naked blue lady) in 2011's 'X-Men: First Class,' a 1960s-set prequel. She returns as the narrative follows the 'First Class' cast into the early 70s - where they are joined by a time-travelling Wolverine sent back from the future. Given the finale of 'First Class' saw Mystique/Raven abandon the X-Men and her adoptive brother Professor Xavier (James McAvoy) in favour of the anti-human militant Brotherhood of Mutants formed by Magneto (Michael Fassbender), it was evident there would be some dark days ahead for the character.
