Oscars experts predict Desolation of Smaug will lose out to Gravity

The Hobbit lost to Gravity at the BAFTAs but now the two are set to do battle at the grandest movie awards stage of them all when they clash to win the Best Visual Effects Oscar, also going up against 'Iron Man 3', 'Star Trek: Into Darkness' and 'The Lone Ranger'.
