Stan Lee says he wishes 'Batman' creator Bob Kane could see the cinematic success Marvel are enjoying today - so he could rub his nose in it. Okay, I'm making that sound more mean-spirited than the way the one-time Marvel head honcho actually put it. Come on, it's Stan Lee, even in his lower moments he's never less than charming. Asked by Bloomberg News about the comparative fortunes of comic book giants Marvel and DC at the box office, Lee smiled, "I wish my friend Bob Kane were still with us - he's the fellow who created Batman.
