After turning heads with the first on-screen interracial kiss, 'Star Trek' captain William Shatner is pleased that it's no longer thought of as a big deal… During a speech to reporters about his upcoming show 'Shatner's World', the 83-year-old 'Star Trek' legend explained that he's glad society has grown since the original scandal of his interracial kiss. "Now, it seems like a silly fuss about nothing," said Shatner. America was still reeling from the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. and 'Star Trek' took the bold move of airing the first ever kiss between a black actor and a white actor.
