Pixar Art Director Reveals The Creative Process Behind Up

Pixar Art Director Reveals The Creative Process Behind Up Earlier this year Pixar's Art Director/Production Designer Ricky Nierva hosted an event in Athens where he discussed the processes behind creating the wonderful characters from 'Up'. Ricky has worked on various films across Pixar's filmography, including 'Toy Story 2', 'Monsters, Inc.' and 'Finding Nemo', but here he focuses on the contrasting, yet loveable characters Carl and Russell from their 2009 animation, 'Up'. Pixar fans in particular should find the video an engaging watch that they can enjoy, providing they are familiar with the characters. Interestingly, Ricky cites the saying, "Fail early, fail often," as something often quoted over at Pixar Animation Studios.
