Simon Pegg Says Mayall Was His Inspiration

Comedian and actor Simon Pegg has told Sky's Entertainment Week that Rik Mayall was a "a true pioneer" of comedy. I'm very sad about Rik's passing," Pegg told Sky's Joe Michalczuk. Mayall's wife Barbara Robbin has said a fit may have caused the comedian's sudden death . Pegg, 44, worked with Mayall and his comedy collaborator Ade Edmondson on the 1999 comedy-thriller Guest House Paradiso in the early days of his film career.
