IRS apologizes for $60,000 'Star Trek' tax-evasion training video

By Ira Teinowitz LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - The Internal Revenue Service, after going boldly where no man - or government agency - has gone before, has come crashing back to earth, apologizing for what it spent to produce a "Star Trek" parody training video. The video was made for a 2010 conference training IRS agents on finding tax evaders. Also produced for the conference was a skit parodying "Gilligan's Island." Both cost around $60,000 to produce. ...
