Beginning with the seventh episode of the upcoming eighth season, the Academy Award-winning Sorvino will play the Santa Barbara Police Department's newest head detective, Betsy Brannigan. The character is described by USA as "an incredibly sweet, adorably reserved and yet certified badass."
