Director Michael Radford Splits from 'Castro's Daughter'

By Brent Lang LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - Oscar-nominated director Michael Radford is abandoning "Castro's Daughter" in a split that the film's producers are labeling "amicable." The film is a fact-based historical drama about the illegitimate daughter of Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro. The girl, Alina Fernandez, eventually became a dissident and fled her native country. The script is by Bobby Moresco ("Crash") and the project is being produced and co-financed by Mankind Entertainment's John Torres Martinez and Joe Lamy, who acquired the rights and have developed the project. ...
